Hems

 Hems for Bridal Gowns 

• Cut edge (tulle): $30.00 per layer
• All Skirts (Ball gown, A-line or straight): ​$65.00 for first layer, $35.00 for each additional layer
• Horse Hair braid: $80.00 for removal and reattachment  
• Lace/fancy: $150.00 for removal and reattachment of lace
• Adding more crinoline: $40.00
• Remove train: $30.00 per layer

Bustles

• Bustles w/1-3 points: $40.00
• Bustles w/4-6 points $55.00
• Bustles w/7+ points $70.00

Hems for Formal Dresses/Bridesmaid/Prom Gowns

• All Skirts: $50.00 for first layer, $30.00 for each additional layer
• ​Cut tulle: $30.00 per layer
• ​Horse Hair braid stitched on: $80.00

General Alterations for Bridal Gowns, Formal Dresses, Bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, and Prom Gowns

•  Take in/let out sides (no lace):  $30.00
•  Take in/let out sides w/lace or beading: $45.00
•  Take in through zipper: $50.00
•  Take in through zipper w/loops and buttons: $60.00
•  Add bra cups: $15.00
•  Invert/Curl in bra cup: $10.00
•  Add boning: $25.00 +/-
•  Add internal corset: $65.00
•  Add corset back: $70.00
•  Add buttons and loops to the back of the Bridal Gown (approximately 15): $50.00
•  Raise shoulders w/sleeves: $30.00
•  Raise shoulders on sleeveless dress: $25.00
•  Adjust straps on dress: $25.00
•  Move/replace pockets: $35.00
•  Beading/re-beading; lace reattachment: $30.00 per hour             

 Day of Dressing Service for 2021 Brides

I once attended a wedding where FIVE people worked on the bride's bustle. No one could figure it out! I was one of those who was asked to help and even I couldn't figure out another seamstress's bustle. This put the entire timeline of her wedding behind (by quite a bit) and it was a very intense situation.

There is no need for you or anyone else to stress on your wedding day as they try to get your buttons fastened or bustle your gown! You can hire Sew Glorious to help you dress on the day of your wedding for $150.00 (mileage fee of $1.50 round trip for weddings that are more than 60 miles from Conestoga) This fee is for 2021 Sew Glorious brides (if you are a 2022 bride, click here) and it includes the following:
- Dressing you,
- Noting if you need some last minute wrinkles steamed, 
- Taking care of those "uh-oh... something needs to be mended" moments,
- Fastening those crazy bridal buttons, or tightening your corset back, 
- Checking and/or adjusting your veil placement so it is just perfect,
- Assisting your bridal party  (AFTER you are ready),
- Fluffing you before you walk down the aisle,
- Fixing your dress during pictures (if needed), and of course... 
- Bustling your dress after your ceremony and pictures.

This frees up your wedding planner so s/he can make sure the details of your wedding are flowing smoothly. There is no need to provide a meal to Sew Glorious. Her dressing services are completed after your bustle is secure.
